Who we are

Mzuri Dance ArtisTree is a project based organisation.
As projects are commissioned, granted or invested in, we collaborate with our part time staff, local community leaders, our amazing team of teachers,  bicultural community workers, artists, facilitators, project officers, mentors, volunteers, young leaders and consultants.
We appreciate them all and the great work they do!

Suzie Mzuri She facilitates creative workshops and performances inspired by her training in classical, folkloric and contemporary dance, yoga, trauma informed practice, breathwork and meditation, as well as regional and contemporary African arts as a medium to forge respectful relationships between people, for people’s sense of belonging, cultural expression, social equity, health and wellbeing and personal learning.

We acknowledge over 65,000 years of continuous care and custodianship by the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation for these lands and waters we are standing on today. Sovereignty has never been ceded. We pay respect to elders past present and acknowledge the Wurundjeri as the traditional owners of the country we reside on, and we pay respect to them and commit ourselves as allies.
